Born in Arkansas, Mrs. McKenzie and her late husband Hugh homesteaded in Oklahoma in 1898 and came to Canada in 1913. They began farming near Bon Accord in 1920. Mrs. McKenzie has lived there since. Mr. McKenzie died in 1948. Mrs. McKenzie is survived by five sons, Charles of Edmonton, Mike of Comox, B.C., Clyde of Westlock, Marion of Bon Accord and Hugh of Haney, B.C.; a daughter, Mrs. H. M. (Martha) Samis of Bon Accord; 17 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Funeral services from the Bon Accord United Church Wednesday and burial will be in the Bon Accord Cemetery.
