Wanted: Information to Post on the Maryland McKenzies
I am trying to turn this site into a resource that all researchers who are interested in accessing material on the Maryland McKenzies will find useful in tracing their ancestors. If you have material you would like to post, old photos, deeds, patents, scans of pages from family Bibles, etc., please forward .jpg scans to me at mmckenzie000@gmail.com and I will post the material. Also, if you have McKenzies you would like to add to the database, please send me a GEDCOM file ot the data in some other form and I will attempt to post when time permits. All living individuals should be privitized. Finally, if you encounter/note any errors on the site, please notify me so that I can correct them.
Thanks

William Enoch McKenzie, s/o John McKenzie and Barbara Engle
This question concerns William Enoch McKenzie and his wife Eliza. They are found on the 1880 census in Greenville Township, Somerset County, near Pocahontas. I believe that Wm. E. died sometime between 1880 and 1888, and that his wife Eliza (Albright or Albreit) married a neighbor, Michael Baker about 1898. Michael was previously married to a Caroline. If you have any info to support my theory, please contact me at hskelso@atlanticbb.net? I've been looking for a date for William's death but haven't found anything as yet. Thanks Sheryl Kelso

McKinney/McKenzie
Looking for ancestors/siblings of JOHN MCKENZIE/MacKenzie): My grandfather John McKinney/McKenzie was said to have come from Scotland marrying and having 3 small children before he died. The son John would be my great grandfather whom was living and orphaned in Ohio at a young age. Perhaps my ancestors are the ones that would match yours, time frame is similar. Unfortunately our family is not positive if the John from Scotland ended up in MD, PA or where. I am looking for anyone possibilities.
