CUMBERLAND - Nova Marie Shanholtz-Lotz, 82, of Okeechobee, Fla., formerly of Cumberland, went to be with her Lord on Monday, Oct. 9, 2006, at the WMHS Sacred Heart Campus Hospital. Born May 6, 1924, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Leonard Anton Knoche and Laura Aurelia (Devault) Knoche-Engle. Mrs. Lotz was also preceded in death by her first husband, James F. Shanholtz; and her second husband, John F. Lotz. Mrs. Lotz was formerly employed by the Cumberland Blouse Company, the Allegany County Board of Education and, while living in Okeechobee, was the office manager for Dr. Douglas Chiropractic Center. She was a member of the Okeechobee Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star McKinley Chapter 12. Mrs. Lotz is survived by her daughter, Sharon Wilson and her husband Earl, Fort Ashby, W.Va.; her brothers, Leonard Knoche and his wife Sara Kay, Okeechobee, David Knoche and his wife Debbie, Short Gap, W.Va., and Douglas Knoche and his wife Mary, Chantilly, Va.; her grandchildren, Kristin White and her husband Max, New Creek W.Va., and Jason Wilson, Fort Ashby; her special sister-in-law, Eleanor Knoche, Cumberland; her nephew, James W. Knoche and his wife Tina; and her nieces, Debbie Flynn and her husband Mike, Korrine McCutcheon, Starla Whetzel and Brandy Phennicie. Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, (adamsfamilyfuneralhome.com <http://www.adamsfamilyfuneralhome.com> ) on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2006, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, Oct. 13, 2006, at 11 a.m. with her nephew, Pastor James Knoche, officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
