Mr. Merhle Clinton Gross, 76, of 304 Rosewood Ave., Frederick, died Wednesday evening, Oct. 19, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Margaret Bear Gross. Born Jan. 22, 1907, at Feagaville, Mr. Gross was a son of the late William and Bertha Unglebower Gross. Mr. Gross had been employed by Hahn Transportation of New Market for over 30 years, retiring in 1972. and was then employed part-time for the I-TO Truck Stop. Mr. Gross was a member of St Luke's Lutheran Church, Feagaville, and a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie No. 1067, Frederick. Surviving, besides his wife, are three stepsons. Ernest J. McKenzie, Oliver J. McKenzie and Ernest J. Swanson, all of Frederick; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Ruth Elaine Summers, Frederick; four brothers, Roscoe Gross, Leon Gross, Robert Gross and Conner Gross, all of Frederick; 15 step-grandchildren, 19 step-great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Friday. Oct 21. at the Smith, Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, in Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. The Rev. Edward A. Donald, St Luke's Lutheran Church. Feagaville, will officiate. Funeral services for Mr. Merhle Clinton Gross of 304 Redwood Ave., who died Wednesday, Oct. 19, were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, from the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the Smith, Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 306 E. Church St., Frederick. The Rev. Eduard E. Donald, pastor of Saint Luke's Lutheran Church, Feagaville, officiated. Bearers were Tommy Ridenour, Dennis McKinzie, Mark McKinzie, Leo McKinzie, Ernie J.
