- Mrs. Henry C. Shepard – Mrs. Lurvena Katherine Shepherd, 62 years old, wife of Henry C. Shepherd, formerly of Rawlings, died yesterday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harness Miller, Cresaptown, following a protracted illness. She is survived by another daughter, Miss Cora Shepherd, and by three sons, James, George and Dewey Shepherd; a sister, Mrs. Issac Van Meter, Ridgeley, W. Va., and six brothers, George McKenzie, Pinto, Md.; Perry McKenzie, Willard O.; Edward McKenzie, Morgantown, W.Va; John and Taylor McKenzie, John and Taylor McKenzie od Westernport, Md., and Walter McKenzie, Cresaptowm. Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock tomorrow afternoon at the Cresaptown Methodist Episcopal Church, conducted by the Pastor, Rev Frank Logsdon. Interment will be in the Bier Cemetery, near Rawlings. Cumberland Evening Times March 8, 1930
