- FINZEL - Leatta C. McKenzie, 65, died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 1989, at Frostburg Community Hospital Extended Care Unit. Born Oct. 1, 1923, in Barberton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Orvel and Leotta (Pope) Crowe. Mrs. McKenzie was a former employee of the Celanese Fibers Corporation and a member of the Faith Independent Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Clarence M. “Pete” McKenzie; two sisters, Mrs. Iva DeHaven, Winchester, Va., and Mrs. Evelyn Boone, LaVale; one brother, Wilfred Crowe, Finzel; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg, Thursday. Services will be conducted there Friday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Teddy R. Herron. Interment will be in the Mount Zion Cemetery, Garrett County. Published in the Cumberland Times-News, Thursday, September 14, 1989
