- Brooks H. Clayton – Brooks H. Clayton, 57, of Winchester Road, Cresaptown, died yesterday at Sacred Heart Hospital where he had been a patient since May 1. He had been in ill health several years. Born in Tucker County, W. Va., he was a son of the late George E. and Carrie (Barkley) Clayton. Mr. Clayton was a former employee of Mason’s Dairy and was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Aerie 2883, FO Eagles, Cresaptown, and Local 453, Teamsters Union. Surviving are his widow, Alice (Robison) McKenzie Clayton, four step-daughters, Mrs. Anna Lease and Mrs. Helen Lease, both of Triple Lakes; Mrs. Margaret Clayton, Riverdale, Md., and Mrs. Theresa McKenzie, at home; three step-sons, Thomas E., William G. and Clarence M. McKenzie, all of Cresaptown; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Shipley, Cresaptown, and Mrs. Edith Wratchford, Eldersburg, Md.; five brothers, Theodore J. Clayton, Cleveland, Ohio; George E. Clayton, Riverdale; Gerald W. Clayton, Cresaptown; Samuel J. Clayton, Lanham, and James D. Clayton, Spring Gap; 26 step=grandchildren and 28 great-step-grandchildren. The body is at the residence.
