Born Aug. 5, 1922, in Berlin, Germany, she was a daughter of the late Heinrich and Margarite Sermersheim. Mrs. Porter is survived by her husband, Harlan E. Porter; two sons, Wesley R. and wife Kathleen of Sicklerville, N.J., and Joe H. and wife Maryann of Doylestown, Pa.; a daughter, Jo-Lynn Savoy and husband Michael of Bear, Del.; sister, Barbara Wittko of Bamberg, Germany; and five grandchildren. Mrs. Porter was a homemaker. Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, Pa., on Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday, Feb. 20, at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Julie Applegate of Palo Alto United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in the Porter Cemetery, Hyndman, at the convenience of the family.
