Moved from Limestone Co, Al to Union Co, Il abt 1830 where he received a government land grant for his military service. NOTE: The G was dropped from the surname when his father William moved to Columbia Co,Ga and became Hardin. Not sure of the reason. Burial: Cobden Union County Illinois
