Mrs. Fisher's husband, Jackson Fisher, died in 1979. Survivors include three sons: Robert William Fisher, Cumberland, MD; Daniel Jackson Fisher, Biloxi, Miss.; and Dane Edwin Fisher, Meyersdale. Friends were received at the Sowers Funeral Home Thursday. Services were conducted there Thursday by the Rev. Rodney Murray. Interment, Frostburg Memorial Park.The New Republic, October 31, 1991

    Robert W. "Sonny" Fisher, 61, of Cumberland died Monday, September 22, 2003 at Memorial Hospital. He was the son of the late Jackson and Gladys (Winebrenner) Fisher. Surviving are two brothers: Dane Fisher and wife, Betty, Meyersdale, and Daniel Fisher, Mass., and several nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation. His body has been donated to the Anatomy Board of Maryland. A Memorial service will be conducted at the Sowers Funeral Home, P.A., 60 W. Main St., Frostburg, on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with The Rev. Albert Valentine, II officiating.
