FROSTBURG — Helen Mae Walls, 92, of Frostburg, died Friday, Nov. 11, 2011 at her residence. Born Aug. 4, 1919 in Frostburg, to the late John Tomlinson and Ora Devore; she was also preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Walls and a brother, John A. Tomlinson. Helen was employed by G.C.Murphy Company for 31 years. She was a member of Frostburg United Methodist Church and the Farrady Post 24 American Legion Auxiliary. Surviving are her children, Joann Horine and husband John, Myersville, Clifford “Kip” Walls and wife Diane, Frostburg and Kay Weslow and husband Harvey, Frostburg; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two great-great-grand-sons and two nephews. Family and friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Sunday, Nov. 13, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. The Farrady Post 24 American Legion Auxiliary will hold a memorial service at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Durst Funeral Home on Monday, Nov. 14, 2011 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jennifer Webber officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park. The family wishes to express a special thanks to the staff of Home Health Care, to Hospice, and to her caregiver, Betty Servis for the wonderful care and support they provided.
