FROSTBURG — Sylvia “Jean” Beeman, 76, of Frostburg, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center. Born Aug. 5, 1936, in Gilmore, to Thomas L. Kight and Lola E. Harper. She is preceded in death by her parents and step-mother, Anna E. (Uphold) Kight; husband, James A. Beeman; brothers, Gordon Kight and wife Anna, Robert Kight; and two brothers-in-law, Louis Albright and Jake Loudermilk. Mrs. Beeman was a member of Eckhart United Methodist Church, the church choir and Helping Hands of the church. Jean was a retired secretary at Sacred Heart Hospital, a past member of Sacred Heart Hospital Auxiliary, the Red Hat Society and Frostburg Senior Citizens. Surviving are three daughters, Barbara J. Thompson and husband Ken, Cumberland, Beverly J. Titchenell and companion, Tim Hoover, Frostburg, and Janet Coleman and husband Wayne, Frostburg; five sons, Ronald J. Beeman and companion Laurie Scribben, Pennsylvania, Rick T. Beeman and wife Debbie, Cumberland, Eugene Beeman and wife Robin, John Beeman and wife Tina, Eckhart, Kevin D. Beeman and wife Patti, West Virginia; 32 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren; and sister, Arlene Pieffer and husband Herb, Florida; sister-in-law, Dottie Kight, Walkersville; and several nieces and nephews. Friends and family will be received at Durst Funeral Home P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013 from 2 to 6 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Durst Funeral Home on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. George M. Harpold officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Durst Funeral Home.
