Frostburg - John Leonard Clark, 51, 30 Beall Street, died Wednesday night at Miners Hospital where he had been a patient for ten days. A native of Finzel, Clark was the husband of the late Mrs. Agnes (Burdock) Clark. He was employed as a fireclay miner and was a member of Frostburg Lodge 348 LOOM. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. William O. Twigg and Mrs. Francis Malloy, both of Frostburg; one sister, Mrs. Lloyd Klink, Frostburg; three half-sisters, Mrs. Elsie Lotz, Frostburg; Mrs. Nellie Shroyer, Winchester Bridge, and Mrs. Anna Crowe, Baltimore; two brothers, Charles, Barton, and Frank, Jenners, Pa.; two half-brothers, Samuel and Earl Clark, both of Frostburg, and four grandchildren. Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Johnson Methodist Church, with Rev. J. B. Jones, pastor of the First Methodist Church of Frostburg, officiating. Sylvia L. Halle, 89, of Cumberland, passed away Monday, July 4, 2016, at Lions Center. Born on Jan. 9, 1927, to the late John and Agnes (Burdock) Clark; she is preceded in death by first husband, Francis Malloy and late husband, Robert Halle; son, Ronald Malloy; brothers, Ralph Clark, Carl Clark, Lawrence Clark; and sister, Leona Twigg; she is the last surviving member of her immediate family. Sylvia was a member of St. Michael and St. Ambrose Catholic Church; she was loving and supportive taking care of brothers, Ralph and Lawrence, when her mother passed away. She loved planting, gardening and specially enjoyed her roses, an avid bingo player and a member of the Red Hats. Surviving is her daughter, Margaret A. Carter and husband ,Alan; two sons, John Malloy and wife, Rhonda, and Robert Halle and wife, Brenda; grandchildren, Michael Malloy and wife, Tina, Mark Malloy and wife, Krissie, Brandon Malloy, Nathan Malloy and wife, Mellisa, Bobby Halle and Katlyn Halle; nine great-grandchildren; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Norma Jean Clark and Pauline Clark; daughter-in-law, Sharon Malloy; numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, on Thursday, July 7, 2016, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with the funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. with Deacon Harold Bradley as celebrant. Interment will be in the Maryland State Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap. The family would like to especially thank the Lions Center staff and Dr. Shin for their care and compassion. 2012 — FROSTBURG — Ralph J. Clark, 80, of Frostburg, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 30, 2012 at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. Born Oct. 23, 1931 in Finzel, he was the son of the late John and Agnes (Burdock) Clark. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers, Carl (Jake) Clark and Lawrence Clark; one sister, Leona Twigg. Surviving is his loving wife of 58 years, Norma (Cullen) Clark; two daughters, Cindy Clark, Morgantown, W.Va., Linda Huff and husband Dale, Flintstone; one son, Ralph Dennis Clark and wife Tiffany, Bel Air; four grandchildren, who were the pride of his life, Stephanie Purdy and husband Michael, Seth Clark, Brady Clark, and Darrell Huff; two great-grandsons, Lukas and Levi Purdy; two great-granddaughters, Megan and Brianna Huff; one sister, Sylvia Halle; sister-in-law, Pauline Clark; nephews, Doug Clark, Randy Clark, Billy Twigg, Robert Halle and John Malloy; nieces, Margaret Carter, Diana Sipple, Debbie Breeden and Brenda Painter. Ralph was retired after 39 ½ years of service from Potomac Edison and a United States veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 24, Frostburg, and Vale Summit United Methodist Church, where he was a Board of Trustee member. Ralph enjoyed hunting, bowling, and attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and activities. Family and friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Sunday, April 1, 2012 from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, April 2, 2012 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. George Harpold officiating. Military honors will be accorded by Farrady Post 24 American Legion Honor Guard. In accordance with his wishes, Ralph is to be cremated following the services and a graveside service will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the Dialysis Center for their kindness during Ralph’s illness.
