    FROSTBURG, Aug. 28(sic) — Word has been received here that Frank O. Smith died last night at his home, 74 Charles Street, Annapolis, following a prolonged illness. His wife was the late Mrs. Margaret (Crowe) Smith, Eckhart. He is survived by three children, Frank O. Jr., Naumana Shawn and June Holten Smith and seven grandchildren. He was a brother-in-law of Fred Crowe, Frostburg, and Clifford Crowe, Eckhart. Services will be held Monday in First Baptist Church, Annapolis. The Cumberland Sunday Times, August 27, 1950

    Naumana Shawn, 75, a Lifelong resident of Severna Park and Annapolis, died Thursday of a stroke at Johns Hopkins Hospital following a long illness. Born in Annapolis, Mrs. Shawn was a graduate of Annapolis High School. She was a secretary to the former judge Benjamin Michaelson and later was a secretary for the U.S. Department of Defense until her retirement in 1976. She is a lifetime member of the Anne Arundel Medical Center Auxiliary and was active in that organization for years. She is survived by her husband, E. Roy Shawn; two children, Linda Rankin of Annapolis and Roy Shawn of Severna Park; one brother, Frank 0. Smith Jr. of Ocala, Fla.; one sister, June Holton of Kennet Square, Pa.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will occur Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Woods Memorial Church in Severna Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the National Arthritis Foundation.
