Lawrence Layman, of 215 Evans Lane, Alexandria, Va., died Friday in New Providence Hospital, Washington. Born in Carlos, Md., he was a son of the late George L. and Anna L. Layman. He had been an employe of the Navy Department since 1934. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Elsie M. (Reed) Layman; two daughters, Mrs. Imogene Sherry, of Alexandria, and Mrs. Leanna Blubaugh, Waldorf, Md.; a son, Benjamin Layman, Syracuse, N. Y.; three sisters, Mrs. Anna L. Neat, Cumberland; Mrs. Ruth Davis, Frostburg; and Mrs. Oma Wolfe, Hagerstown; a brother, Benjamin Layman, Syracuse, N. Y., and three grandchildren. Services will be conducted Monday at 11 a. m. in the Everly-Whealon Funeral Home, Alexandria, and interment will be in the Mount Comfort Cemetery, Alexandria.
