Mrs. Anna L. Neat, of 504 Ridgewood Avenue, died yesterday at Miners Hospital, Frostburg. A native of Carlos, she was born April 26, 1891, a daughter of the late George L. and Annie (Crowe) Layman. Her husband, Samuel Neat, Jr., preceded her in death. Mrs. Neat had resided in Cumberland the past 35 years. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, the Women's Bible Class, the WSCS and the church's dinner committee. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Sylvia Spurrier, Baltimore, and a sister, Mrs. Charles Wolfe, Hagerstown; one grandchild, six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. The body is at the Scarpelli Funeral Home where friends will be received from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. A service will be conducted there tomorrow at 1 p.m. by Rev. Robert Moales and Rev. Vernon Thompson. Burial will be in Frostburg Memorial Park. The Cumberland News, October 30, 1968
