She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Frostburg, Md. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Marie McClintock, Frostburg; a brother, Marion Harth(sic:Howarth), Jenners; three half-sisters, Mrs. Nellie Caton, LaVale, Md.; Mrs. Anne Crowe, Baltimore, Md.; Mrs. Elsie Lutz, Okeechobee, Fla.; a half-brother, Earl Eisler, Finzel; 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Frostburg, Sept. 12 - James Clark, 53, of Finzel, died last night in Miners Hospital where he was admitted Tuesday after suffering a paralytic stroke. He had been in failing health for two years. A former clay miner, he was a son of the late John and Holley Winebrenner Clark. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Charles Folk, of Frostburg; Mrs. Lemuel McKenzie and the Misses Betty and Shirley Clark, all at home; three sons, James Clark Jr., of Frostburg; and Allen and Paul Clark, at home; and a number of brothers and sisters. A native of Finzel, Clark was the husband of the late Mrs. Agnes (Burdock) Clark. He was employed as a fireclay miner and was a member of Frostburg Lodge 348 LOOM. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. William O. Twigg and Mrs. Francis Malloy, both of Frostburg; one sister, Mrs. Lloyd Klink, Frostburg; three half-sisters, Mrs. Elsie Lotz, Frostburg; Mrs. Nellie Shroyer, Winchester Bridge, and Mrs. Anna Crowe, Baltimore; two brothers, Charles, Barton, and Frank, Jenners, Pa.; two half-brothers, Samuel and Earl Clark, both of Frostburg, and four grandchildren. Mr. Clark was a former coal miner, a self employed timberman, and retired as owner/operator of Clarks Gas and Grocery, Finzel. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church, Frostburg, and he was a charter member of the Eastern Garrett County Volunteer Fire Dept. Mr. Clark is survived by three sons, Earl J. Born Oct. 23, 1931 in Finzel, he was the son of the late John and Agnes (Burdock) Clark. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers, Carl (Jake) Clark and Lawrence Clark; one sister, Leona Twigg. Surviving is his loving wife of 58 years, Norma (Cullen) Clark; two daughters, Cindy Clark, Morgantown, W.Va., Linda Huff and husband Dale, Flintstone; one son, Ralph Dennis Clark and wife Tiffany, Bel Air; four grandchildren, who were the pride of his life, Stephanie Purdy and husband Michael, Seth Clark, Brady Clark, and Darrell Huff; two great-grandsons, Lukas and Levi Purdy; two great-granddaughters, Megan and Brianna Huff; one sister, Sylvia Halle; sister-in-law, Pauline Clark; nephews, Doug Clark, Randy Clark, Billy Twigg, Robert Halle and John Malloy; nieces, Margaret Carter, Diana Sipple, Debbie Breeden and Brenda Painter. Ralph enjoyed hunting, bowling, and attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and activities. Born in 1941 in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Catherine (Clark) Folk. She was a graduate of Beall High School. Surviving are her husband, Jack Sherman; a son, Jeff Nolan; a daughter, Jennifer O’Donnell; a brother, Ralph “Buddy” Folk; a stepson and stepdaughter; several grandchildren, step and great-grandchildren; and many relatives in the Frostburg area. A memorial service was held on May 21 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Wilmington, Del. Interment was private.

Caton; son, Dave Arnold; and stepbrother, Larry McKenzie. Carolyn was a homemaker and had previously worked at Delores Truly's Candy. She was a member of Divine Mercy Parish St. Michael's Catholic Church and loved making flower arrangements and painting ceramics. Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Glenn Arnold; sons, Doug Arnold and wife, Deborah, Frostburg, and their son, Corey, Don Arnold and wife, Terri, Finzel, and their children, Dustin and Samantha, Dean Arnold and wife, Stacy, Finzel, and their children, Danielle and Zachary, and Dwain Arnold and Tracey McKenzie-Arnold, Clear Spring, and their children, Derek and Danica; daughterin- law, Brenda and children, Trista and David Jr 'Buddy', Frederick; three great-grandchildren; and stepsister, Lana McKenzie. Opel and Charlotte Clark. He is preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Shirley Opel. Mr. Opel was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church and sang in the choir for 15 years; and a member of the K of C 1442, Frostburg. He was a 1972 graduate of the Vocational Technical Center in Carpentry; formerly employed by Celanese Corp., Winner Brothers, Opel Construction, Finan Center and currently with Ritchie Trucking and Excavating. Gordy enjoyed bowling, golf, hunting, gardening and working on vehicles and houses. He coached Little League Baseball and Pee Wee Football. He loved spending time with his grandkids. Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Jean (McKnew) Opel; three sons, Gordon Opel Jr. and wife Paula, Bowling Green, Shawn Opel and wife Katrina, Lakewood, W.Va., and Christopher Opel, Grahamtown; eight grandchildren, Caleb, Riley, Noah, Carter, Dylan, Chase, Karley and Conner. Pamela "Pam" Renee Opel, 56, died in her home on Monday, July 30, 2018. Pam was born Aug. 4, 1961 in Frostburg, to the parents of the late Russel J. Opel and Charlotte Opel (Clark). She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother Gordon "Gordy" Opel, and a sister Shirley Opel. Pam was a devoted Christian and was a member of Saint Michael's Church. Pam was a 1979 graduate of Beall High School and 1982 graduate of Allegany College of Maryland receiving her nursing degree. Pam began her nursing career at the Frostburg Hospital (which she loved) in 1983 and worked until 1995. She also worked weekends at Harbor Hospital in Baltimore from 1990 to 1992. After the closing of the Frostburg Hospital, Pam moved to the Thomas B. Finan Center (where she loved working with the children). She worked there for 21 years. Her last move was to the Potomac Center in Hagerstown in 2016 where she was currently working. Pam was an avid reader, loved football and was a huge Steelers fan. It was rare that one would see her without wearing a Steelers shirt. She loved spending time with her family (especially with the children). She enjoyed going to her nephew's football and baseball games. She also loved to go shopping and would often buy gifts for others rather than for herself. She was a hard worker and she worked many extra shifts. Surviving is her sister Joyce Thompson and husband Wayne, Burtonsville; and their two sons, Travis Thompson and wife Shelley, Silver Spring, and Wayne Thompson Jr. and his wife, Martine Collin, Montreal, Quebec, and Kelly Whitehorn. Also surviving is her sister-in-law of 46 years, Jean Opel (McKnew) of Midlothian; and her three sons, Gordon Opel Jr. of Frostburg, Shawn Opel and his wife Katrina Opel of Lakewood, W.Va., and Christopher Opel of Frostburg; She also had many great nieces and nephews that she spent lots of time with. Ed Hendricks as celebrant. Interment will be held at Mount Zion United Methodist Cemetery, Finzel. Pallbearers are: Wayne Thompson, Travis Thompson, Gordy Opel, Shawn Opel, Chris Opel and Dylan Opel. Memorial contributions may be sent to Divine Mercy Parish, Frostburg, MD. Pam was a kind, caring person that always put others in front of herself. Pam was a strong Christian and she would imitate Jesus' love by her thoughts and actions. She treated her nephews, and niece like they were her own children. FINZEL Kevin Michael Clark, 34, of 1076 Finzel Rd., Finzel, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1999, at Sacred Heart Hospital. Born July 15, 1965, in Cumberland, he was the son of Paul G. and Evelyn (Wilhelm) Clark, Finzel. Mr. Clark was an assistant cook, along with his mother, at the Grantsville Senior Center. He was a member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church, Pocahontas, Pa., member of the Eastern Garrett County Volunteer Fire Company for many years, and the Arie 1273 Fraternal Order of Eagles, Frostburg. Surviving in addition to his parents, are his wife, Krista; two stepchildren, Andrew and Kaitie McKenzie; two brothers, Brian Clark, Gallup, N.M., Timothy Clark and wife, Brenda, Finzel; a sister, Julie Clark, at home; special niece and nephew, Justin Clark and Kayla Paul; maternal grandmother, Leora B. Wilhelm, St. Petersburg, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2:30 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at Saint Mary's Catholic Church on Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Bernard White as celebrant. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Finzel Cemetery. Pallbearers, are all members of the fire company, will be Jim Raley, Pete Smith, Jessie Opel, Ron, Don, and Brian Gaumer.
