    FROSTBURG — William H. Wehling, 68, died last night at Miners hospital following a lingering illess. A native of Eckhart, he was a son of the late Theodore and Anna (Kreitzburg) Wehling and had reided in Barberton, Ohio, for the past 40 years. His wife, the former Miss Effie Nelson, preceded him in death. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Glines, Barberton, Mrs. Melvin Duckworth and Mrs. Harry Fuller, both of Frosturg; a son William Wehling, Barberton; three sisters, Mrs. Nettie Williams, Mrs. Harold Powell and Mrs. Milton Peters, all of Barberton; two brothers, Theodore and Frederick Wehling, Barberton, and four granddaughters. Services will be conducted today at 7 p. m. at the Hafer Funeral Home. Rev. Louis L. Emerick, pastor of Midland Methodist Church, will officiate. The body will then be sent to Barberton for a service Friday, with interment in Green Lawn Memorial Cemetery, Akron. The Cumberland Evening Times, October 15, 1952

    ECKHART — Ruth Marie Duckworth, 86, passed away on Sunday April 29, 2012 at her daughter’s house in Holmdel, N.J. Ruth was born Nov. 8, 1925 in Barberton, Ohio to William and Effie (Nelson) Wehling. She is preceded in death by her parents, as well as her sisters, Idella Fuller, Jean Glines; and brother Bill Wehling. She is the last surviving member of her family. Mrs. Duckworth graduated from Barberton High School in 1943. Upon moving to Eckhart she became a member of Eckhart Methodist Church for 45 years were she held a position as treasurer. Ruth was an employee at Stella’s Beauty Shop while in operation. Ruth is survived by her husband of 64 years, Melvin Duckworth; daughter, Vicki Forbes and husband John, N.J.; son, Dean Duckworth and wife Susan, of W.Va.; four grandchildren, Melissa Ferrell and husband James, Annie Forbes, John Forbes and Carrie Forbes; and great-grand twins, Dean and Daniel. Family and friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home P.A., 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, on Friday, May 4, 2012 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, May 4, 2012 at 1 p.m. with the Rev. George Harpold officiating. Interment will be in the Eckhart Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to Eckhart United Methodist Church. Cumberland Times-News, May 2, 2012

    RICHMOND, Va. — Harry Anderson Fuller Jr., of Richmond, Va., departed this earth to be with God on Friday, Feb. 10, 2012. Born in Washington, D.C., on July 30, 1946, he was raised in Frostburg, and was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Idella Fuller Sr. Harry Jr. graduated from Frostburg State College with a BA in History in 1969. Harry began his career in education, teaching History at Southern Senior High School, Harwood. While there, he pursued his love of theater as the Technical Director of the Drama Club. His love of theater expanded into the Annapolis community, where he was very active with the Annapolis Summer Garden Theater. His career then took a different turn and he became a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. Harry was a leader in his field; developing on-the-job training programs and helping countless individuals find new employment. After 30 years, he decided to follow one of his loves, wine. He sold wine for 2 years and was hoping to return to that upon retirement. Harry was known for many things, his sense of humor, love of wine, his spoonerisms, but above all else, he was a fantastic father and husband. He was an avid sports fan, following the Baltimore Orioles and Maryland Terrapins from his early childhood on, and any other team that could beat the New York Yankees. His favorite past time was fishing. Harry is survived by his wife of 30 years, Mardee; his daughter Shannon; elder sisters, Marilyn Robertson and Connie Zero; uncle, Richard Fuller; aunt, Elizabeth “Betty” Vosbury; sister-in-law, Betty Jane Clark, cousins, Marsha Ketterman, Renee Ruppenkamp, Sarah Fuller, and Jessie Stevenson; nephews, Joseph, John and James Zero and Thomas Robertson; niece, Jodi Robertson, and all of their respective families. Last but not least, he is survived by his puppy, Autumn. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 15, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 W Broad St., Glen Allen, VA 23060. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Thursday, Feb. 16, at 2 p.m. Interment will be at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, 12609 Patterson Ave., Richmond, VA 23238.
