    MT. SAVAGE - William B. Winebrenner, 58, of Midlothian, died this morning at Miners Hospital where he had been a patient since January 11. He had been in failing health three years. Born in Mt. Savage, he was a son of the late William M. and Susan (Whetzel) Winebrenner. His wife, Mrs. Ella ( Smith) Winebrenner, preceded him in death. Mr. Winebrenner was a member of Mt. Savage Methodist Church and Jennings Run Council 15, JOUAM. Surviving are three sons, Allen Winebrenner, Baltimore; Graham Winebrenner, Oakland, Calif., and Albert Winebrenner, Renton, Wash.; three daughters, Mrs. Harvey Shroyer, Fairhope, Pa.; Mrs. Earl Hughes, Chelsea, Mich., and Mrs. John Evans, with whom he resided; six brothers, Lonnie Winebrenner, Bowling Green; James Winebrenner, Eckhart; Cyrus Winebrenner, Lorain, Ohio: Clinton Winebrenner, Hyndman; Ralph Winebrenner, Mt. Savage, and David Winebrenner, Baltimore; six sisters, Mrs. William Rice, Mrs. Graham Bowers, Mrs. James Witt, Mrs. Susannah Trimble and Mrs. William J. Winebrenner, all of Mt. Savage, and Mrs. James Deal, Frostburg; and 16 grandchildren. Durst Funeral Home.

    BALTIMORE — Allan W. Winebrenner, 82, formerly of Mount Savage, went to be with his Lord, April 16, 2009, at Glen Burnie Nursing Home in Glen Burnie. He was the husband of Ruth M.J. (Shumaker), with whom he celebrated 61 years of marriage. Born on Oct. 13, 1926, he was the son of the late William and Ellie Winebrenner. Also preceding him in death were his brother, Graham; his sister, Thelma; and granddaughter, Amanda Twigg.
    After moving to Baltimore, Allan started working at the Carr Lowery Class Company from which he retired after 35 years of service. Allan was a collector of glassware, especially depression era glass. He also loved to crochet, making many beautiful afghans. In addition to his wife, surviving Allan are his brother, Albert; and his sisters, Hazel Shroyer and Marilyn Evans; five children; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Arrangements were made by the Daugherty Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held for Allan on Saturday, May 2, 2009, at the Emmanuel Wesleyan Church located at 3716 West Bay Ave., Baltimore, at noon. April 27, 2009, Cumberland Times-News

    Fairhope, PA - Hazel Katherine Shroyer, 85, of Fairhope, went to be with the Lord Thursday March 20, 2014 at Meadowview Nursing Home in Berlin. Born July 5, 1928 in Mt. Savage, MD; she was a daughter of the late William and Ella (Smith) Winebrenner. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Harvey J. Shroyer Sr; a sister, Thelma Hughes; brothers, Allen and Graham Winebrenner. Hazel is survived by sons, Harvey J. Shoyer Jr and wife Kathy of Fairhope; Billy P. Shroyer and wife Alice of Berlin; grandchildren, Melanie Michael of Cumberland, Hayley Belardi of Somerset, Angela (Shroyer) Nunamaker and husband Todd of Berlin, Jesse Shroyer of Fairhope, Andrew Shroyer and wife Caitlin of Berlin, Jason Reese of Windber, Benjamin Hay and wife Keisha of Anchorage, AK, and Elizabeth Hay of Berlin; great grandchildren, Millena, Lilly, Asa, Zya, Haleigh, Brock, and Cameron; a sister, Marilyn Evans of Midlothian, MD; and a brother, Albert Winebrenner of WA. Mrs. Shroyer was a homemaker and a member of the Homemakers Club in Fairhope. She was also a member of Faith Community Church in Hyndman and the Hyndman Senior Center. Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at the Faith Community Church, 287 Faith Church Rd., Hyndman on Monday at 11 a.m. with Pastors Terry Campbell and Daniel Judy officiating.     Marilyn Juanita Evans, 79, of Midlothian, passed away peacefully on Friday, Sept. 16, 2016, at her residence. She was born Feb. 19, 1937, in Slabtown, to William and Ella (Smith) Winebrenner. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Samuel Evans Sr.; siblings, Alan Winebrenner, Thelma Hughes, Hazel Shroyer and Graham Winebrenner. Marilyn enjoyed gardening, embroidery, cross stitching, reading and collecting hummingbirds. Surviving are four sons, John S. Evans Jr., Hagerstown, James Evans and wife, Kimberly, Alexandria, Va., Joel Evans and wife, Patricia, Sykesville, and Jerry Evans and wife Dana, Frostburg; four grandchildren, Jason Evans and wife, Heather, Amy Evans, Sarah Evans and Sacarra Shrader; two great-grandchildren, Hailey Evans and Jamie Evans; a brother, Albert Winebrenner; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Monday, Sept. 19, 2016. Funeral services will be held at Durst Funeral Home on Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016, at 11 am. Interment will be in the Maryland State Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap.
