LAVALE – Patricia Ann “Pat” Proud, 83, of LaVale, passed away Sunday, June 6, 2021, at Hearthstone Nursing and Rehab. Born November 17, 1937, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Margaret (McKenzie) Miltenberger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Miltenberger; sister-in-law, Barbara Miltenberger. Pat was a 1955 graduate of Ursuline Academy. She was a member of Our Lady of the Mountains Parish, SS. Peter and Paul Church, as well as St. Ambrose Church. She was also an active member of the LaVale Fire Dept Ladies Auxiliary. Pat cared deeply about the mission of March of Dimes and regularly wrapped her legs in ace bandages to go door-to-door, up and down hills, to collect donations. When she wasn’t volunteering her time, Pat loved to play bingo and bake. She made the most amazing cakes, pies, brownies, and even rice pudding that her family and friends will certainly miss. As a dedicated homemaker, she also enjoyed gardening and canning the fruits of her labor.
