    CUMBERLAND - Loretta E. (Starkey) McKenzie, 87, of Cumberland, died Thursday, Feb. 18, 1999, at Sacred Heart Hospital. Born Oct. 21, 1911, in Ridgeley, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late J. Gibson and Bertha (McBee) Starkey. She also was preceded in death by one brother, Randell "Bus" Starkey; and one sister, Marion Fey. Mrs. McKenzie was retired from the Cumberland Blouse Factory. She was a member of the Women of the Moose in Cumberland. Surviving are her husband of 70 years, Francis S. "Beck" McKenzie; two daughters, Annabelle Butler and husband Charles "Bo," LaVale, and Willa Powell, Cumberland; granddaughter, Teri Detrick and husband David, Ridgeley, W.Va.; grandsons, Brad Butler, Charlestown, W.Va., Bret Butler and wife Cindy, Cresaptown, Rusty Butler and wife Beth, Lonaconing, B.K. Powell and wife Sheila, Morgantown, W.Va., Cliff Powell and wife Kim, Springfield, W.Va., and Dane Powell and wife Christina, Cumberland; great-grandsons, Jason Detrick, Fort Ashby, W.Va., Brad Butler Jr., Charlestown, W.Va., and Shawn Powell, Springfield, W.Va.; great-granddaughters, Tracy Ott and husband Sean, Hollie Butler and Aimee Butler, all of Charlestown, W.Va., Tara Detrick and Lara Detrick, both of Ridgeley, W.Va., Sandy Powell, Romney, W.Va., Bridgette Stockett and husband Dana, and Katie Powell, all of Morgantown, W.Va.; great-great-granddaughters, Ashley Detrick, Fort Ashby, W.Va., Kayla Butler, Cresaptown, and Brianna Stockett, Morgantown, W.Va.; and great-great-grandsons, Cameron Butler, Charlestown, W.Va., and Jason Detrick Jr., Fort Ashby, W.Va. Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., Cresaptown, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Harold R. McClay Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Brad Butler, B.K. Powell, Cliff Powell, Bret Butler, Dane Powell and Jason Detrick. Francis (son of George James McKenzie and Mary Magdalene Hershberger) was born on 30 Sep 1909 in Cresaptown, Allegany County, Maryland; died on 6 Nov 1999 in Cumberland, Allegany County, Maryland.     LAVALE - Annabelle M. (McKenzie) Butler, 81, of LaVale, died on Sunday, Oct. 17, 2010, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland. Born Sept. 16, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Frances S. McKenzie and Loretta E. (Starkey) McKenzie. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Willa "Willie" J. (McKenzie) Powell and husband Boyd K. Powell Sr. On Sept. 5, 1953, Annabelle married the love of her life, Charles A. "Bo" Butler. He preceded her in death on July 29, 2010. The passion and priority of her life was her everlasting love for her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Teri (Butler) Detrick and husband David, Ridgeley, W.Va.; three sons, Brad Butler of Raeford, N.C., Bret Butler and wife Cindy, Thurmont, and Rusty Butler and wife Beth, Cumberland; 10 grandchildren, Jason Detrick and wife Missie, Hollie Higgs and husband Roger, Tracy Butler, Aimee Butler, Brad Butler, Jr. and Candace, Tara Wiley and husband Jon, Lara Detrick, Kayla Butler and Kirby Butler; 12 great-grandchildren, Ashley, Jason Jr., Brooke, Tanner, and Alek Detrick, Madison and Robert Higgs, Cameron Butler, Jahlile and Markeice Bowens, Avery and Trinity Butler; special nephews, B.K. and Sheila Powell and family; Cliff and Kim Powell and Family, and Dane and Chrissy Powell and family. Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., Cresaptown, on Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Christian Wake service will be conducted at the funeral home at 8:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ambrose Catholic Church on Wednesday at 10 a.m. with Msgr. Jim Hannon as celebrant. Interment will be in Maryland State Veterans Cemetery, Rocky Gap. Pallbearers will be Brad Butler, Bret Butler, Rusty Butler, Dave Detrick, Jason Detrick, Brad Butler Jr., Kirby Butler and Jason Detrick Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be B.K.
