Mrs. Grant was a daughter of the late John and Harriet (Sigler) Winters. She was a member of the Cresaptown Assembly of God Church. She is survived by three other daughters, Mrs. Sanford Robinette, and Mrs. Chelsie Liller, both of Cresaptown, and Mrs. Lester Beck, Lebanon, Fa.; four sons, Leonard and Ray Grant, both of Lebanon, Pa.; Charles Grant, Cresaptown; and Marshall Grant, Brunswick; 40 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 20 great-great-grandchildren. The body will remain at the Hafer Funeral Home, where services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p. m., with Rev. Ira Moore, pastor of the Cresaptown Assembly of God Church, officiating. Interment will be in Eckhart Cemetery.

Mrs. Robinette was a member of the Cresaptown Methodist Church and the Homemakers Club. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Esther Bane, Kirby, W. Va.; Mrs. Gordon Hershberger, at home, and Mrs. Ada Cecil, Cresaptown; a son, Cecil Robinette, Lovettsville, Va.; two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Beck, Lebanon, Pa., and Mrs. Isaac Parker, Fairgo; three brothers, Charles L. His wife, Mrs. Genevieve (MacDonald) Grant, preceded him in death. Mr. Grant was a retired carpenter, contractor and grocery store owner. He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church and Cresaptown Volunteer Fire Company. Surviving are two sons, Allan J. Grant, Frostburg; Charles W. Grant, Sarasota, Fla.; three daughters, Mrs. Helen Bodkin, Mrs. Judy Williams and Mrs. Dorothy Hayes, all of Hagerstown; a brother, Marshall Grant, Rawlings; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Parker, Cresaptown; Mrs. Lillian Beck, Santa Maria, Calif.; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Surviving are four sons; four daughters, one brother, Cecil E. Robinette, Lovettsville, Va.; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Hershberger and Mrs. Ada Cecil, Cresaptown; 48 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Hershberger in 1977 and her second husband Christopher M. Snyder in 1988. She was also preceded in death by a step-grandson, Chris Babcock. Mrs. Snyder was a former member of the Cresaptown United Methodist Church and currently was a member of the Calvary Independent Baptist Church. She was a housewife and a member of the Women's Christian Society. Survivors are one son, James B. Hershberger, Winchester Road; three step-daughters, Hilda Frankenberry, Cumberland; Wilma Snyder, and Ruth Ann Babcock, both of Cresaptown; one sister, Ada Cecil, Cresaptown; two grandchildren, David Hershberger and Linda Tichnell; four great-grandchildren and six step-great- grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Hafer Chapel of the Hills Mortuary, La Vale, Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted in the funeral home Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Prior to her illness, she served as church organist and was a member of the choir. Surviving, in addition to her parents, are her husband, George Krnaya; one son, George Nickolas Krnaya, at home; one brother, Samuel Parker, Fairgo, and one sister, Mrs. James Kamauf, Cresaptown. The body is at the John J. Born Dec. 12, 1916, in Romney, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Isaac C. Parker and Ethel M. (Grant) Parker. She was also preceded in death by her first husband of 57 years, James Adam Kamauf and her second husband of eight years, George William Walker. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Edward James Kamauf and Gary Allen Kamauf; one granddaughter, Wendy Lee Yost; brother, Sam Parker; one sister, Virginia Krnaya. Mrs. Walker was a homemaker. She was a former employee of the Celanese Corporation. She was a member of the Cresaptown United Methodist Church. A pianist for 30 years, she was in a band called the Blue Notes Band. She was an avid duckpin bowler. Kamauf, of Richmond, Va.; and nine grandchildren, Madison Daughtery, Blake and Emma Brown, of Richmond, Va., Hannah and Ty Kuczynski, of Macomb, Mich., and Ashtyn, Braden, Alyssa and Bennett Kreider, of Elizabethtown, Pa. Dave was a 1960 graduate of Allegany High School and in 1962 from Catherman’s Business School. He then began his career at Allegany Ballistics Laboratory. After he received his draft notice, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. Upon completion of his basic training in San Antonio, Texas, his two tours of duty were at McGuire AFB, Trenton, N.J., and Kindley AFB, Bermuda. He received an honorable discharge in 1967 and continued his education at the University of Maryland, receiving his B.S. degree in Accounting in 1971. He earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration in 1984 from Frostburg State University. Dave taught night classes at Allegany College in the Business Dept. and at the Federal Prison at Mexico Farms for several years. The following paragraph was copied from the WMHS’s monthly newsletter of 2007: Dave retired on June 1, 2007, after working at the health system for 36 years. He began his employment at Memorial Hospital in 1971 as an accountant. He assumed additional responsibilities as supervisor in the Accounts Payable Dept. in 1979. The position of controller was established in 1983 and Dave assumed that role at Memorial Hospital. His title was changed to senior financial analyst in the late 1990’s after the health system was formed. He was a great source of accounting knowledge and an important asset to the Finance Dept. He was a hard worker who was very easy to work with and always more than willing to lead big projects. Dave was known as a great documenter, willing to help when needed and the consummate team player. Co-workers said he was detailed-oriented, courteous, meticulous, pleasant, and conscientious. Dave was a member of Calvary Bible Church near Ellerslie, where he taught Sunday School and served as a Deacon. He had been on the Calvary Christian Academy School Board for 30 years and also served as Chairman. He had been a member of the board of Health Care 1st Credit Union and more recently on the ABLE Credit Union Board. Dave enjoyed golf, bowling, jogging, biking, swimming, collecting stamps, traveling with his wife and vacationing with his family and friends, Walt and Eileen McCoy. His family was a great source of pleasure to him and he dearly loved his nine grandchildren. Family and friends will be received at the Calvary Bible Church on Thursday, Feb. 16, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the Calvary Bible Church on Friday, Feb. 17, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Greg Miller and Pastor Ken Korns officiating. Family and friends will be received one hour prior to the service. Interment will be Restlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are David Brown, Kevin Kamauf, Kevin Kreider, Kevin Kuczynski, Kevin Ogle and Greg Sands. Kerry Frances (Skelley) Mowery, 53, of Wheelersburg, Ohio, formerly of Cresaptown, died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018, at home. Born Oct. 26, 1964, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of Jean (Harmison) Skelley Toohey and the late Gerald E. Skelley. She is also preceded in death by her stepfather, Kenneth Toohey, and her beloved sister, Jerilyn Skelley Smith. Kerry was a graduate of Allegany High School, Class of 1982. She also attended Frostburg State University. Originally a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, she joined St. Monica's Catholic Church in Wheelersburg. In addition to her mother, Kerry is survived by her husband, James Mowery; daughter, Shannon Mowery and fiancé, Quint Walker; brother, Michael Skelley; brothers-in-law, Gary Smith, Pat Mowery and wife, Teresa, Joseph Mowery and wife, Della, and Tim Mowery and wife, Lucinda; sister-in-law, Beth Fucci; nephews, Jeremy Smith and Jamie Smith and wife, Kim; niece, MIchelle Grogg and husband, Roger; and many dear cousins. Kerry loved to go to the beach and also all God's creatures, especially her dogs, Bo and Dingo, and her cat, Sam. She was a homemaker. She loved to cook and decorate her house. She always had fresh flowers at her home. Kerry was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, sister, and friend. She will be truly missed. God received another angel. Memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Ambrose Catholic Church on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, at 11 a.m. with Fr. Paul Brynes as celebrant. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
