    Notes:

    M. Guthrie McKenzie, 85, formerly of Brant Road, Cresaptown, died Saturday in Nelle's Nursing Home, Inc., Elkins, W. Va. following an illness of six months.

    Born in Cresaptown, he was a son of the late Richard D. and Mary (Hileman) McKenzie. A lifelong member of the Cresaptown Methodist Church, he was also a member of the Men's Bible Class of the church and was a veteran of World War I (Private in Army).

    Preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Mary (Stottlemyer) McKenzie, he was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

    Surviving are a stepson, Gerald Cecil, Detroit, and a stepdaughter, Mrs. Betty Williar, Baltimore. Also surviving are five nieces.

    Friends will be received at the Hafer Chapel of The Hills, LaVale, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service will be conducted tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home by Rev. Harold R. McClay Jr. Interment will be in Hillcrest Burial Park.
