GRAHAMTOWN — Marilyn M. McKenzie, 78, of Grahamtown, died Sunday, July 6, 2003, at her residence. Born Feb. 11, 1925, in National, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Marjorie (Hawkins) Evans. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James K. McKenzie, Sr.; her sister, Gloria Boden; her brother, Edward T. Evans; and one grandson, Kenneth Allen Dye. Mrs. McKenzie was a member of Welsh Memorial Baptist Church and Eastern Star, Moutain Chapter 15. Surviving are two sons, James K. McKenzie, Jr., and wife, Earlene and John Mark McKenzie, both of Frostburg; two daughters, Maureen Pugh and husband, Norman, Saint Cloud, Fla., and Darlene Yates, Lawrence, Kan.; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. Her body will be cremated. There will be no visitations or service. FROSTBURG — James K. "Mac" McKenzie Jr, 77, passed away on Friday, Feb. 8, 2019, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va. Born on July 29, 1941, in Frostburg, he was the son of the late James K. (Mac), Sr, and Marilyn (Evans) McKenzie. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, John Mark McKenzie and great granddaughter, Lamarah Mae Jones. Mac retired as a remote control engineer at CSX Railroad. He was a member of Welsh Baptist Church, Piney Mountain Sportsmans Club and the Mountain Top Sportsmans Club. He was an avid hunter and fisherman having made many trips to Colorado and Maine. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Earlene M. (McDonald) McKenzie; daughters, Peggy Crowe and husband, Dennis, Brenda McKenzie and significant other, Francisco Rodriguez; son, James K. "Jimmy" McKenzie III; grandchildren, Dennis Crowe Jr, and wife, Nichola, Thomas Crowe and wife, Nicole, Christy Metts, Naomi Riggleman, Jeramiah Riggleman and fiancé, Megan, Jadyn McKenzie and Evan McKenzie; sisters, Maureen Pugh and husband, Norman, and Darlene Yates; numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and cousins; and hunting and fishing buddies, Wayne, Ray, Brian, Herb, Robin, Merm and Johnny. Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2019. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, Feb. 15, 2019, at

Born May 14, 1951 in Frostburg, he was the son of the late James Kenneth and Marilyn Marjorie (Evans) McKenzie. He was employed at R & D Pools. He had served in the Air Force. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles, Lodge #1273, American Legion Post #24, and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #348. Surviving are one son, John Mark McKenzie, Jr., Cumberland, one daughter, Julie Ann McKenzie, LaVale, one grandson: Dustin Mark Lambert; one brother, James Kenneth McKenzie and wife, Earlene, Frostburg, and two sisters: Maureen Pugh and husband, Norman, Florida, and Darlene Yates, Kansas. He was an organ donor. At his request, he will be cremated. There will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be conducted at the Sowers Funeral Home, P.A., 60 W. CUMBERLAND — John Mark McKenzie Jr., 21, of Cumberland, died April 18, 2005, as the result of an automobile accident on Rt. 36. Born Aug. 1, 1983, in Cumberland, he was the son of John Mark McKenzie Sr. and wife Penny, Mercersburg, Pa., and Connie Lamp and fiancee, Randy Tyler Sr., Cumberland. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Willard A. Lamp Sr. Mr. McKenzie was a telemarketer for J.A.K. in Keyser, W.Va., was a 2001 graduate of Fort Hill High School and the Career Technical Center, Cresaptown, and he attended the Bedford Road Baptist Church. He was very artistic, enjoyed working on automobiles and building models, and he enjoyed his aquarium. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandparents, John and Alice McKenzie, Frostburg; maternal grandmother, Dorothy V. Lamp, Ellerslie; two sisters, Cassandra K. McKenzie, Cumberland, Shawna S. McKenzie, Mercersburg; three brothers, Kevin S. McKenzie, Mercersburg, Randy S. Tyler Jr., Cumberland and Chance A. Tyler, Cumberland; step-sister, Natasha R. Dunn, Mercersburg; step-brother, Andrew D. Dunn, Mercersburg; a very special nephew, Jaden J. Barrett; and numerous aunts; uncles; and cousins. Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Joe DiNicola. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
