GILMORE — Joseph B. Kerr, 62, of here, died yesterday in Sacred Heart Hospital. Born in Wardensville, W.Va., he was the son of the late John Samuel and Ada Alice (Snider) Kerr. Mr. Kerr was an employee of the G.C. Murphy Store in Cumberland, and was employed there for 41 years. He was a veteran of Worl War II, a member of the Midland American Legion, and a member of the G. C. Murphy Veterans Club. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Martha Beeman Kerr; a son, Joseph B. Kerr, Fairfield, W.Va.; three sisters, Mrs. Virginia Carnaby, of West Virginia; Mrs. Audrey Stultz, Winchester, Va., and Mrs. Maxine Orris, Harrisonburg, Va.; three brothers, Ewell Kerr, Daniel Kerr and Arndale Kerr, all of Wardensville; and one grandchild. Friends will be received at the Eichhom Funeral Home. The rosary will be recited at the funeral home Friday evening. Mass of the Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Midland. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. The Cumberland News, December 31, 1981
