MOUNT SAVAGE - Arthur F. Maley, 73, of 105 Columbia Avenue, died Friday in Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland. Born in Ekhart, June 19, 1913, he was the son of the late Salvatore “Sam” and Rosina (Ruffo) Maley. Mr. Maley was a retired pipefitter from Allegany Ballistics Laboratory and formerly employed by the Celanese Corporation. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church; Frostburg Lodge 348, Loyal Order of Moose and Local 261 ICWU. Surviving are his widow, Leona (McKenzie) Maley; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Edith “Terry” Dominick, Winchester Road; two brothers, Edilio Maley, Silver Spring, and Joseph Maley, Frostburg; four sisters, Mrs. Margaret Harris and Mrs. Olinda Kidwell, both of Frostburg; Mrs. Virginia Fradiska, Cumberland, and Mrs. Delphina Arnone, Silver Spring, and three grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg. Services will be conducted there Monday 10 a.m. by the Rev. John J. Mackey. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. A Christian wake service will be held Sunday at 3:30 p.m. in the funeral home. The family requests memorials take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society for Leukemia.
