Born Sept. 4, 1936, at Frostburg, he was a son of Virgie G. (Garlitz) McKenzie, Grantsville, and the late Dayton A. McKenzie. Mr. McKenzie was a retired timber man. Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Doris A. (Green) McKenzie; three sons, Roger G., North Carolina, Donald A., Grantsville, and Steven W., at home; three daughters, Vicki D. Warnick, Betty E. McKenzie and Robin L. McKenzie, all of Grantsville; seven brothers, William, Brian, Edward, Patrick and Harold McKenzie, all of Grantsville, Larry, Oakland, and Norman, Friendsville; one sister, Agnes Yutzy, Swanton; and four grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, on Wednesday. Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Paul H. Yoder officiating.     McKenzie of Resh Hill Road died Thursday, June 5, 1997 as the result of a dead tree branch falling and striking him in the head and neck area at a job site on Durst Road. He was a self-employed timberman and a member of the Meadow Mountain Mennonite Church.

    Patrick was born June 8, 1941, in Frostburg, a son of Vergie Gertrude (Garlitz) McKenzie and the late Dayton A. McKenzie. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by one brother Dalton Anthony McKenzie.

    In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Mary Alice (Otto) McKenzie; one son, Daniel Ray McKenzie, Grantsville; one stepson, Roy Dale Otto, Friendsville; two daughters, Rosie Mae McKenzie, Accident, and Tammy Marie Nine, McHenry; one stepdaughter, Esther Kathryn Clemons, Oakland; six brothers, John William McKenzie, Francis Bryan McKenzie, Julius Edward McKenzie and Harold Joseph McKenzie all of Grantsville, David Larry McKenzie, Oakland, and Norman Alfonsus McKenzie, Friendsville; one sister, Agnes Yutzy, Swanton; and two step-grand-sons.
    Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville. A service was conducted at the Meadow Mountain Mennonite Church on Sunday June 8, with the Rev. Duane Frederick officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery located on the Orendorf Road, Bittinger.

    GRANTSVILLE — Agnes Viola Yutzy, 60, of Grantsville, died Monday, June 29, 2009, at her residence. Born Feb. 8, 1949, in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late Dayton and Virgie (Garlitz) McKenzie. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Yutzy; and three brothers, Dalton, Bill and Patrick McKenzie. Mrs. Yutzy was a homemaker and a member of Meadow Mtn. Mennonite Church. She is survived by two sons, Ivan Julius Yutzy, Sipesville, Pa., Gerald Keith Yutzy, Friendsville; five brothers, Bryan McKenzie, Edward McKenzie and Harold McKenzie, all of Grantsville, Larry McKenzie and Norman McKenzie, both of Oakland; 11 grandchildren, Jessica Lee Yutzy, Gerald Keith Yutzy Jr., Justin Sweitzer, Joseph Yutzy, Chelsey Yutzy, Matthew Yutzy, Raegan Yutzy, Kiana Yutzy, Tyler Yutzy, Abigayle Yutzy and Gavin Yutzy. Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Thursday, July 2, 2009, at 11 a.m. with the Rev.
