    Minnie Agnes MCKENZIE (Dora Emelia MCKENZIE-4, Francis Patrick-3, Samuel J.-2, John M.-1) was born about 1903 in Garrett Co., Maryland. She died on 30 Aug 1977 in Frostburg, Allegany Co., Maryland. FROSTBURG - Mrs Minnie A. Caton, 74, of Finzel, died this morning in Frostburg Community Hospital, where she was admitted Sunday. She had been in failing health three years. Born in Garrett County, she was a daughter of the late James R. McKenzie and Dora (McKenzie) McKenzie. Her husband, Simon H. Caton, died in 1947. Mrs. Caton was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Leona Kitis, Mrs. Mary McKenzie, Mrs. Irene Ramhoff, Mrs. Mary McKenzie, all of Finzel; Mrs. Isabel! Minnick, Frostburg; four sons, Anthony Caton, Junction City, Ohio; Lawrence Caton, Lancaster, Ohio; Stanley Caton, Oldtown; Clarence Caton, Frostburg; two sisters, Mrs. Rella McKenzie and Mrs. Mabel Cutter, both of Beall School Road; two brothers, Clarence McKenzie, Finzel; Corbett McKenzie, Beall School Road; 20 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Born Dec. 10, 1920, in Garrett County, he was the son of the late Simon and Minnie (McKenzie) Caton. He also was preceded in death by an infant son, Clarence Caton; two brothers, Herbert Caton and Carl Caton; and one sister, Mary McKenzie. Mr. Caton was retired from Pittsburgh Plate Glass. He was a member of Frostburg United Methodist Church. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army having served in China, Burma and India. He was a member of American Legion Farrady Post 24. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Helen (Hoyman) Caton; one daughter, Vicki (Caton) Willison, at home; three brothers, Anthony Caton and wife Shirley, Junction City, Ohio, Lawrence Caton, Lancaster, Ohio, and Stanley Caton and wife Virginia, Oldtown; four sisters, Leona Kitis and husband Fritz, Finzel, Irene Ramhoff and husband "Duke," Frostburg, Isabell Minnick and husband Robert, Frostburg, and Mae McKenzie and husband Richard, Finzel; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home, P.A., 60 W. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and a life member of the Eastern Garrett County Fire and Rescue Ladies Auxiliary.     FINZEL — Irene Arlena Ramhoff, 85, of Finzel, passed away peacefully Friday, Nov. 18, 2011 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center. Born June 1st, 1926 in Finzel, she was the daughter of the late Simon Caton and Minnie McKenzie. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Roy “Duke” Ramhoff; two sisters, Mary McKenzie and husband Arthur, and Leona Kitis and husband Fritz; and three brothers, Clarence “Bud” Caton, Carl Caton, and Herbert Caton. Irene was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church and loved going to church with her sister Mary. She worked at Kroger’s Market in Pittsburgh, Pa., before returning to Finzel to raise Richard in a better environment. On returning to Finzel she worked at the Hen House Restaurant on Long Stretch and also the Silver Leaf in Frostburg. Irene above all else was a very special mother to Richard. She cherished every day that she had with him. Teaching him and comforting him through his whole life. She loved being a homemaker and lived a long and happy life. Irene will be sadly missed by all family and friends. Surviving are a son, Richard J.     OLDTOWN - Stanley Joseph Caton, 34, of Route 2, Box 106, Oldtown, died Saturday, May 16, 1992 at the Martinsburg (W.Va.) Veterans’ Administration Hospital. Born March 9, 1958 in Frostburg, he was the son of Stanley H. Caton and Virginia C. (Smith) Caton. Mr. Caton was medically retired from the U.S. Air Force where he was a computer operator from March 1976 to March 1982. He attended the First Brethren Church in Wiley Ford, W.Va. In addition to his parents he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Sue (Bean) Smith, Patterson Creek, W.Va.; two brothers, Kenneth Wayne Caton and Fred Allen Caton, both of Oldtown. Friends will be received at the Hafer Chapel of the Hills Mortuary in LaVale. Services will be conducted there Monday at 11 a.m. by the Rev Benny R. Brakeall. Interment will be at Greenville (Pa.) Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alvin P. Boggs, William C. Berg, Leo J. Lavin II, George W. Albright, Thomas W. McBride Sr. and Thomas W.     Joshua Daniel McKenzie, 20, of Garrett, passed away as a result of an automobile accident on Feb. 21, 2011, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown. Born March 31, 1990, in Somerset. A son of Mary Ann Murray of Garrett, and Danny McKenzie and his companion Ruth Friend, Meyersdale. Maternal grandparents, Mary V. Murray, of Garrett and the late Merle Murray; and paternal grandparents, May and Francis McKenzie, Finzel. A brother of Christopher McKenzie, Finzel; and Katie McKenzie, Grantsville. Also survived by niece Savana Broadwater, Grantsville; aunts: Rheta Berkey, Somerset; Dotty Bowser, Grantsville; Brenda Murray, Meyersdale; and Debbie Arnold, Frostburg. Uncles: Merle M. Murray, Johnstown; Ronnie McKenzie, Frostburg; and Terry McKenzie, Frostburg. Cousins: David Topper, Finzel; Jake Topper, Meyersdale; Carrie Shaffer, Grantsville; Kimmy Wilburn, Grantsville; Malachi, Nick and Brodrick Murray, Johnstown; Ronnie McKenzie Jr., Frostburg; Corey Arnold, Frostburg; and his girlfriend, Katelyn Kennell, Wellersburg. A 2008 graduate of Meyersdale High School. Employed by Chameleon Glass and Tile of Frostburg. Josh enjoyed dirt bikes, working on his car, snowboarding, and he was a member of the ski club at MAHS. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Friends will be received 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Price Funeral Home Meyersdale. Service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at the Meyersdale Grace Brethren Church, with Pastor Randy Haulk officiating. Interment Meyersdale Area Union Cemetery.
