1. | Jesse J. Weimer was born on 25 Aug 1855 in Somerset, Pennsylvania; died on 14 Mar 1922 in Loyal, Kingfisher County, Oklahoma. Notes:
Jesse J. Weimar was born August 25, 1855 at Elk Lick, Pa., of Dutch ancestry; he died March 14, 1922 at his farm near Loyal, being 66 years, 6 months and 19 days old. He was united in marriage to Nancy Elizabeth Crowe of Frostburg, Md., March 29, 1880. To this union were born nine children, five sons and four daughters, one son and one daughter passed away in infancy. Those living are R.E., C.H., Ben F., and Soy O.: the daughters are Mrs. Hugh Trosper, Mrs. Willus Van Horn and Mrs. Ferd Sherer. Mr. Weimar moved with his family to Kansas in 1883, where he lived until the opening of Oklahoma. He was one of the 89ers and homesteaded the old Sutton place, north of town. He sold the latter place and moved to a farm near Loyal, Okla., where he remained until his death. He leaves to mourn his departure a wife, seven children, seventeen grandchildren and a host of friends. He was a good neighbor, an ideal husband and father. The funeral took place from the Catholic Church Thursday, March 16, at 3 p.m., Rev. A.C. Taeyeats, the Pastor, officiating. The remains were laid to rest in Kingfisher Cemetery. Jesse married Nancy Elizabeth Crowe on 29 Mar 1880. Nancy (daughter of Nelson Crowe and Mary Ann Winebrenner) was born about 1861 in Maryland; died between 1948 and 1951 in Oklahoma. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
