Paul Ray McKenzie, 75, Osage Beach, died Jan. 2, 2003, at his home.
He was born Aug. 12, 1927, in Hebron, Neb., a son of Fred and Agnus McKenzie. He was married in October1949 to Carol Pierce McKenzie, who survives at the home. He graduated from Hebron High School. He was a farmer and worked for Farm Bureau Insurance as district supervisor for an area of Nebraska and Iowa. In 1972, he purchased Belle Villa Best Western Motel, Belleville, Kan., and later purchased Lake Chateau Best Western, Osage Beach. He was a Navy veteran. Other survivors include: two sons, Mike McKenzie, Lebanon, and Mark McKenzie, Osage Beach; two daughters, Ellen Shank, Omaha, Neb., and Karen Lehr, Osage Beach; one sister, Mary Marr; and seven grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Hebron. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Saturday at Hedges Funeral Home, Osage Beach, with a rosary at 3 p.m.
