    MOUNT SAVAGE - Mrs. Susanna Trimble, 75, formerly of Mount Savage, died Friday, Feb. 23, 1990, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland. Born June 18, 1914, in Mount Savage, she was the daughter of the late William and Susan (Hutzel) Winebrenner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Earl Trimble, in 1955, and by one daughter and one son. Mrs. Trimble was a homemaker. Surviving are one son, Earl Trimble, Mount Savage; four daughters, Mrs. Helen Preston, Ruckersville, Va.; Mrs. Goldie Spiker, LaVale; Mrs. Susanna Spriggs, Mount Savage; and Mrs. Naomi Anderson, Accokeek; two brothers, Ralph Winebrenner, Mount Savage; and Clinton Winebrenner, Hyndman, Pa., her twin; two sisters, Mrs. Viola Deal, Frostburg; and Mrs. Elnora Winebrenner, Mount Savage; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg, Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Mount Savage United Methodist Church by the Rev. Thomas E. Young Jr. Interment will be in St. George’s Episcopal Church Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to services. The family requests that memorials take the form of contributions to the Mount Savage United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.

Born March 1, 1933, in Mount Savage, Md., she was a daughter of the late Jesse and Susanna (Winebrenner) Trimble. She also was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Jesse Trimble; brother, Daniel Franklin Trimble; and grandson, Travis E. Greer. Surviving are her husband of 45 years, the Rev. Owen H. Preston; daughter, Linda married to David D. Sines Sr., of Oakland, Md.; grandson, Jason O. Greer married to the former Jessica Deitz, of Markleton; step-grandson, David D. Sines Jr. married to the former Becky Fulmer, of Oakland; step-granddaughter, Rebecca K. Stemple, of Oakland; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Goldie Spiker, of LaVale, Md., Susanna Spriggs, of Mount Savage, and Naomi married to Jerry Anderson, of Accokeek, Md.; brother, Earl R. married to Nancy Trimble, of Mount Savage; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Preston worked as a nurse's aide at several nursing homes including the former Maple Mountain Manor in Berlin. She attended the Berlin Brethren Church. Family will receive friends at the Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Berlin Brethren Church on Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. Ronald Beachley, the Rev. Robert Hoffman and the Rev. T. William Preston officiating. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment will be in the Highland Cemetery, Garrett. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Berlin Brethren Church Window Fund. Born June 23, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Susanna (Winebrenner) Trimble. She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Spriggs; two sisters, Helen Preston and Carol J. Trimble; and one brother, Daniel F. Trimble. Susanna was a member of the Mount Savage United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Caroline Bittinger and husband, Brian; two grandchildren, Logan and Keirstin Bittinger. She is also survived by her sisters, Goldie Spiker of LaVale and Naomi Anderson and husband, Jerry, of Florida; and one brother, Earl Trimble and wife, Nancy, of Mount Savage; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow the visitation. Interment will be in Mount Savage United Methodist Cemetery.
