She was a member of the First M. E. Church. Frostburg, Dec. 9 - Funeral services for Mrs. Sara Hansel Miller, 60, wife of Wesley Miller, who died Tuesday, will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. from the home, 126 Hill street. Rev. Edgar W. Beckett, pastor of the First M. E. Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Allegany Cemetery. FROSTBURG — Mrs. Stella M. Rephann, 74, of 32 McCulloh Street, died yesterday at Sacred Heart Hospital in Cumberland, where she had been admitted October 5. Born in Frostburg, she was a daughter of the late Wesley and Sally (Hansel) Miller and was the widow of Edward Rephann. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Helen Gould, Smyrna, Ga., and Mrs. Elizabeth Patterson, Mrs. Ruth Fisher and Mrs. Blanche Davis, here; four brothers, Charles, Oscar, John and Albert Miller, all of here. Mr. Miller was born here, a son of the late Wesley and Sally (Hansel) Miller. He was the retired custodian at Beall Elementary School and was a member and trustee of First Congregational Church. Survivors include his widow, Louise (Fisher) Miller; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Loar, here, and Mrs. Betty Winters, Vale Summit; one son, Charles W. Miller Jr., here; four sisters, Mrs. Annie Davis and Mrs. Ruth Fisher, both of here; Mrs. Ellen Gould, Georgia, ana Mrs. Elizabeth Patterson, Shaft; three brothers, John and Albert Miller, both of here, and Oscar Miller, Shaft; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The body is at the Durst Funeral Home, where friends will be received from 7 to 9 p. m. today. A service will be conducted at 2 p. m. tomorrow in the funeral home by Rev. William E. Price. FROSTBURG - Albert E. “Ab" Miller Sr., 76, of 126 Hill Street, died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 1993 at Sacred Heart Hospital. Born Aug. 19, 1917, in Eckhart, he was the son of the late Wesley Miller and Sally (Hansel) Miller. Mr. Miller was a former employee of the Celanese Corporation and retired as a letter carrier at the Frostburg Post Office. He was a member of the First Congregational Church, the National Association of Federal Retired Employees and the Frostburg Lodge #470 B.P.O. Elks. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Virginia (Kreitzburg) Miller; three sons, Albert E. Miller Jr., and wife Cathy, Frostburg; Jim Miller, and wife Linda, Front Royal, Va.; and Marty M. Miller, and wife Kathy, Lonaconing: three sisters, Elizabeth Patterson, Shaft; and Ruth Fisher and Blanche Davis, both of Frostburg; seven grandchildren, Duane Miller, Devin Miller, Carla Bridges, Brian Miller, Amy Miller, Gina George and Jason George; three great-grandchildren, Colby Bridges, Bailey Miller and Jessica Miller; and a number of nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, survivors include his widow, Dorothy (Watson) Gould and three sons, Stanley, Scott and Glenn, all at home; and two brothers, Dr. Mark Gould, Smyrna, Ga., and Keith Gould, Andover, Mass. Larry Oscar Patterson, 68, of Chambersburg, died Thursday, September 25, 2014 at his residence. Born September 8, 1946, in Frostburg, MD, he was the son of the late Earl E. and Elizabeth (Miller) Patterson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, David Earl Patterson on September 10, 2010. Larry retired from the Maryland State Highway Administration where he served as Assistant District Engineer for Construction. He was a veteran of the Navy Seabees during the Vietnam Era. Mr. Patterson was a member of the American Legion, VFW in Chambersburg, PA, and attended Lifehouse Church in Martinsburg, WV. Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Jill M. (Boward) Patterson; sister, Elizabeth Neat and husband Stanley, Frostburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at Frostburg Memorial Park on Monday, September 29, 2014, at 11 a.m. with Pastor J.D. Cardwell officiating. Military honors will be accorded by Farrady Post #24 American Legion Honor Guard. Memorial donations, in Larry’s name, may be made to Lifehouse Church, 85 Lynnhaven Dr., Martinsburg, WV, 25405.

CUMBERLAND - Lois Ann (Fisher) Chabot, 88, of Cumberland, went home to be with our Lord on Thursday, March 1, 2018, at her home. Born Jan. 25, 1930, in Frostburg, Ms. Chabot was the daughter of the late Albert Fisher and Ruth (Miller) Fisher. She was also preceded in death by her son, Bernard Jeffrey Chabot; her brother, Robert Fisher; and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. A graduate of Beall High School, Class of 1948, Lois was a former employee of Buchanan's Lumber Company, Carbis, Walker, and Associates, and retired from the Allegany County Health Department. She started playing Bridge in high school and continued to play with the same group of nine ladies for 60 years. She also played in a Duplicate Bridge Club at the Country Club. Lois was a proud member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church where she was active in a Bible Study Group and Sunday School class. She believed that her grandchildren and great grandchildren were true blessings. Lois was a cheerleader and prayer warrior for each of them. Lois is survived by her daughters, Maria "Kim" Burgess and husband, Harold, and Julie Anne (Chabot) Alpert and husband, Robert. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Erica Jolley and husband, Chris, Cyrena Vaughan and husband, Jason, Jeffrey Alpert, David Alpert, and Danielle Alpert; her great grandchildren, Isabella and Gabrielle Jolley, Caden, Ethan, and Liam Vaughan; and her sister-in-law, Joyce Fisher. Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Sunday, March 4, 2018, from 4 to 6 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at the Cornerstone Baptist Church on Monday, March 5, 2018, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dave Hattenfield officiating. The family will also receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Lois' name to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation, Post Office Box #515, Northampton, MD 01061-0515.
