    FROSTBURG — Edna Mary McKenzie, 82, of Frostburg Heights Apartments, formerly of Rt. 2, Pocahontas Road, Frostburg, died Saturday, Jan. 15, 1994 at Memorial Hospital. Born May 5, 1911 in Garrett County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph McKenzie and Delia (Meese) McKenzie. Her husband Murrell C. McKenzie Sr., died June 6, 1990. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mrs. McKenzie was a homemaker and was a member of the Frostburg Seventh Day Adventist Church for 52 years. Surviving are eight sons, Paul McKenzie of Orlando, Fla., Darrell McKenzie of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, Carl McKenzie of Mt. Savage, John McKenzie of Cumberland, Wayne McKenzie of Lonaconing, Murrell McKenzie Jr. and Delbert McKenzie, both of Frostburg, and David McKenzie of LaVale; four daughters, Virginia Shriver of Frostburg, Eileen Miller of Grantsville, and Donna Cutter and Janet Stairs, both of Meyersdale, Pa.; 40 grandchildren and 63 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home. Services will be conducted on Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Richard Hall officiating. Minder, Darren D. Minder, and Jennifer L. Singletary; and four great-grandchildren. Mr. McKenzie was a self-employed truck driver. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Cumberland. FROSTBURG — E. Virginia Shriver, 72, of Frostburg, went to sleep on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at the WMHS Frostburg Nursing and Rehab Center until Jesus comes. She was born Jan. 26, 1940 in Finzel to Murrell and Edna McKenzie. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by four brothers; Carl, Wayne, John, and Darrell McKenzie; one sister, Darlene. Mrs. Shriver was a member of the Frostburg Seventh-Day of Adventist Church and the American Legion Post 24 Women’s Auxiliary, Frostburg. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. Virginia took pride in her family and home and was an avid cook and baker. She will be greatly missed as we look forward to God’s promise. Virginia is survived by her husband of 55 years, Walter Shriver; her four daughters;, Lesa Osburne and husband Rodney, Pennsylvania, Denise Lewis and husband Robert, Eckhart, Vicki Corely and husband Greg, Ellerslie, Anna Williams and friend Randy Moffett, LaVale; one son, Steve Shriver and wife Sandy, Indiana; son-in-law, Michael Williams, Frostburg; nine grandchildren, Jennifer Makowske, Melissa McMahan, Justin Shriver, Amanda Morgan, Jesse Shriver, Christopher Lewis, Kelly Farrell, Ryan Lewis and Garret Lewis; and eight great-grandchildren with two more on the way; four brothers, Paul, Larry David, Delbert, Murrell Junior; three sisters, Eileen, Donna, Janet; also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

    FROSTBURG - Delbert E. McKenzie, 74, of Frostburg, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2020, surrounded by his loving family and close friends. His loss came too soon and unexpectedly, and he will be sadly missed by his family and all who know him. Born April 26, 1945, he was the son of the late Murrell and Edna McKenzie. Delbert was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist church and grew up in a family of 13 brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by eight of his siblings. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Glenda
    (Lucas) McKenzie, who was the love of his life; his two children whom he loved dearly, a son, Kevin McKenzie and wife, Diane, and a daughter, Rhonda Williams; eight grandchildren, Krysten Winner and husband, Dave, Corey McKenzie and wife, Katie, Dr. Taylor McKenzie, Lucas McKenzie, Carson McKenzie, Corina Williams, McKenzie Williams, Ashton Williams; and one great-grandchild, Sadie Winner, who was the apple of his eye and the joy of his heart; a brother, Murrell McKenzie and wife, Pauline; three sisters, Eileen Miller and husband, Roger, Janet Stairs and husband, Bill, Donna Cutter and husband, Leonard. There are numerous nieces, nephews and cousins surviving as well. The family would like to make mention of many close friends and two long-time friends, George Walker and Bob Raley. Delbert loved his family and genuinely loved people. He was generous, kind, and would give the shirt off his back without anyone even asking. He loved the Lord and was not ashamed to sing his praises. Delbert was a self-employed truck driver for 35 years and was known to many as "Big Red." He loved cars and enjoyed showing off his private collection of classic cars at summer cruise-ins and shared this love with other car enthusiasts. Delbert will always be remembered as a "great guy" with a "big heart." His wife, Glenda, will always cherish his memory as the only man she ever loved. Born on Jan. 18, 1947, he was the son of the late Murrell and Edna McKenzie. Mr. McKenzie owned and operated the Cash Valley Auto and Self-Storage. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved old cars. He was a member of the Eagles and Elks in Edgewater, Florida.
    Larry was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Surviving are sons, Brian McKenzie and wife, Diana, and Jeff McKenzie; grandchildren, Jeffery, Ryan and Meagan McKenzie; great-grandchildren, Jackson McKenzie, Irelyn McKenzie and Landon Adams; two brothers; three sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews. Brian and Jeff were pleased with their father's decision to return to his homestead after many years away from the area. Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2019, from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2019, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Seth Wharton. Serving as pallbearers will be Brian McKenzie, Jeff McKenzie, Jeffrey McKenzie, Ryan McKenzie, Kevin Britton and Uriah Adams. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank Murrell and Pauline McKenzie and family and Mike and Colleen Matthews for all the love and support during his care at home.
