Cumberland Times-News, August 27, 1997 - LAVALE - Nellie L. Caton, 90, of Trestle Bridge Road, died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 1997 at Lions Manor Nursing Home, Cumberland. Born May 14, 1907 in Finzel, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Hylie (Winebrenner) Eisler. She was preceded in death by three husbands, Calvert Klink, Robert Shroyer and Clifford Caton; two sons, Bill Klink and Donald Klink; two daughters-in-law, Bertha Klink and Helen Klink; one brother; and three sisters. Mrs. Caton was a homemaker. She was a member of the Frostburg Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary; Frostburg Women of the Moose Chapter #221; Farrady Unit #24 American Legion Auxiliary; V.F.W. #1411 Cumberland Ladies Auxiliary; a Life Member of the Eastern Garrett County Volunteer Fire Company; and she was active in the women's shuffleboard league. Surviving are one brother, Earl A. Eisler, Finzel; four sons, Harold C. Klink, Frostburg, Robert T. Klink, Mercer, Pa., James O. Klink and wife, Norma, Transfer, Pa., and Louis R. Shroyer and wife, Nancy, LaVale; one daughter, Hilda J. Loar and husband, Lee, Eckhart; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great, great-grandchild; three step-grandchildren; four step-great, great- grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Harold C. Klink, 92, of LaVale, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, Dec. 30, 2016, surrounded by his family. Born on Sept. 6, 1924, he was the son of the late Calvert Klink and Nellie (Eisler) Klink Shroyer Caton. In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Marie (Snyder) Klink; son, Leslie Calvin Klink; brothers, Bill, Donald, Robert and James Klink. Harold was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U. S. Navy. Following his discharge, he worked on the assembly line at Kelly Springfield Tire Company. He also worked for 15 years at Harbison-Walker Brick Plant in Grantsville. He was an honorary lifetime member of Farrady Post 24 American Legion in Frostburg and VFW Henry Hart Post 1411 in Cumberland. Surviving are granddaughters, Kathleen Lewis and husband, Jamie of Klondike, Leslie Abbott Gill and husband, Charles of Fredrick, Christina Ann Klink of Delaware, Wilma Klink of Finzel; six great-grandchildren; half-brother, Louis Shroyer and wife, Nancy; half-sister, Hilda Jane Loar; and numerous nieces and nephews. WAYNESBORO, Pa. — Robert T. Klink, 84, of Waynesboro, formerly of Mercer, Pa., died Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at Martinsburg Veterans Medical Center. Born April 23, 1929, in Finzel; he was a son of the late Calvert and Nellie (Eisler) Klink. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Helen G. (Lehr) Klink; an infant son, Robert; a son, David; brothers, William, James and Donald. Survived by children, Margaret Schmelzer and husband David, Ramona Klink both of Waynesboro, Daniel Klink, Beverly Roberts and husband Hiram both of Lakeland, Fla.; grandchildren, Chris Waldorf, Tim Waldorf and wife Carmen, Tabitha, Autumn and Wilhelm Klink; brothers, Harold Klink and Raymond Shroyer both of LaVale; and six great-grandchildren. Mr. Klink served in the U.S. Army during Korea. He worked at Bethlehem Steel and Sharon Steel. He later did custodial work at George Junior Republic, Grove City, Pa.
