- GRANTSVILLE — Darric Lee “Diesel” Kamp, 25, of Grantsville, died Friday, March 26, 2010, at his residence. Born Aug. 13, 1984, in Cumberland, he was the son of Darren G. Kamp, Grantsville, and Vicki (Duckworth) Kamp, Fairfax, Va. Darric was a truck driver for Chamberlain Contractors. He was a member of the Northern Wrestling Matt Club, assisted with the Northern Garrett High School Wrestling Team, member of the Applebee’s Baseball Team and attended Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his stepmother, Connie Kamp, Avilton; his maternal grandparents, Buddy and Carolyn Duckworth, Frostburg; paternal grandparents, Gale and Susie Kamp, Avilton; one brother, Casey Kamp, Wilmington, N.C.; two sisters, Amanda Kamp, Centreville, Va., Julie Kamp, Fairfax; and stepsister, Autumn Kamp, Avilton. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, on Tuesday from 2 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Matthew Widder officiating. Interment will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Avilton. Expressions of sympathy may be directed in care of the family.
