- Moscow - John Aubrey Timney, 86, of Moscow, died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005, at his residence. Born May 11, 1918, a son of the late Della (Fairgrieve) and William Timney. Mr. Timney was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years Ruth E. (Gentry) Timney, who died Dec. 28, 2003; two sisters, Lola Lemon and Mae Thomas; one brother, James Timney; and one special grandson, Charles "Scott" Thomas who was his best friend and buddy. He was a retired employee from Westvaco Paper Mill where he was a trimmer operator in the finishing department. He is survived by three daughters, Anna Thomas, Barton, Donna Phillips and husband Mac, Moscow, and Joyce Blackburn, Gilmore; one son, Johnny Timney and wife Shirley, Gilmore; one brother, Billy Timney, Moscow. Also several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Friends and family will be received at Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home P.A., (http://www.eichhorn-mckenziefh.com) Lonaconing, on Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2005, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Private services and interment will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills.
