Frostburg, Md., Oct 25 Mrs. Nancy L. Garlitz, aged 76 years, widow of George L. Garlitz, Garrett County, five miles west of here on the National road, died early last night. Mrs. Garlitz had been aiding in making sauerkraut and while the work was in progress she went into the living room and lay down on the couch. Her son, Owen, thinking she was asleep, decided not to awaken her until supper time when he discovered that she had died. She is survived by five sons, W.S. Garlitz, Grantsville; John Norman, William and Owen Garlitz, Garrett County; two daughters, Mrs. Edward Fazenbaker, Grahamtown and Mrs. Scott Layman, National road; one brother, Wesley Durst, Garrett County. Fifty-two grandchildren also survive. Funeral services wil be held from the Mt. Zion M.E. Church, Garrett County, Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock with burial in the Blocher Cemetery.
