He died on 8 Mar 1927 at the age of 55 in Clairton, Pennsylvania.
Eugene's death certificate lists Frank Garlitz and Annie McKenzie as his parents. He was born in Maryland. He was a labor supervisor for Carnegie Steel Co., Allegheny Co., PA. Death was caused by nephritis, high blood pressure and uremia. The dc shows Lena (second wife) as the informant.
After the funeral of his first wife, Eugene continued to live in Braddock, PA. In the 1900 census, he is living in a boarding house. By 1910, he is married and has two children by Lena.
