- FROSTBURG - Mrs. Elva A. Spiker Wilt, 61, of West Main Street, died Monday at Garrett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland. Born in Jennings, she was a daughter of the late John Bittinger and Bessie (Bittinger) Bittinger. Her first husband, Raymond E. Spiker, preceded her in death. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Shirley Lucas, Mountain Lake Park; Mrs. Ruth A. Spiker, New Orleans, La.; Mrs. Judy Kowalski, Baltimore; Mrs. Sharon Durst, Jennings; Mrs. Diane Fontaine, Washington, D. C.; five sons, Raymond P. Spiker, Franklin; Robert Spiker, Westernport; Melvin Spiker, Swanton; James Spiker, Cranston, R. I.; Russell Wilt, Washington, D. C.; one sister, Miss Betty Bittinger, Frostburg; a brother, John Donald Bittinger, Accident, and 20 grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Stewart Funeral Home in Oakland, Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted there Thursday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Leroy Stewart. Interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Lonaconing. Cumberland News, April 2, 1986
