- Mrs. Martha B. Schulten, 73, of Beall Street, Frostburg, died yesterday in Maple Lawn Nursing Home, Romney, where she had been a patient a year. Born in Carlos, she was a daughter of the late William and Annie (Winner) Lucas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rear Admiral Leo P. Schulten. Mrs. Schulten was a graduate of Allegany Hospital School of Nursing and was a member of the Nurses Alumni Association. She is survived by a son, Cpl. L. Byron Schulten Jr., this city; two brothers, George Lucas, Frostburg; Eugene Lucas, Mt. Savage; three sisters, Mrs. Lana Hitchens, Carlos; Mrs. Ina Getty, Meyersdale; Mrs. Isabel Gray, Midland, and a grandchild. The body is at the Kight Funeral Home where friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted in the funeral home Tuesday at 1 p.m. Rev. Fred J. Gamble will officiate and interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery. The Cumberland Sunday Times, January 7, 1973
