DeVore II and Elizabeth (Thorp_ DeVore. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mollie L. (Wilt) DeVore, on June 24, 1997. He was a member of the Unity Gospel Church, Burgettstown, and was a National Guard veteran. He was a member of the Pittsburgh Indian Association, American Legion, and Logstown Association. He was a retired carpenter. Survivors include three daughters, Dorothy Orgovan, Chester, W.Va., Mary K. Broadwater, Barton, and Debra Speer, Burgettstown; one brother, William O. DeVore, Niles, Ohio; one sister, Mary Carter, Mount Savage; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, where a service was conducted Tuesday, Dec. 14, with the Rev. James Boyer officiating. Interment was in the Bittinger Cemetery.
