- FROSTBURG — Mrs. Eleanor P. Smith, 48, died yesterday at Cleveland (Ohio) Clinic where she was a patient one month. She had been in ill health for four years. Born in Frostburg, she was a daughter of Mrs. Edna (DeVore) Plummer, here, and the late Emory Plummer, and the widow of James 0. Smith who died last January 7. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Surviving are five sons, James, Charles, Henry and Martin Smith, all of Cleveland, and Donald Smith with the State Police at Hagerstown; a daughter Mrs. Edward Rodgers, Detroit; three sisters, Mrs. George Buckalew, Mrs. Manuel Diaz, Frostburg, and Mrs. John Moody, McKeesport; three brothers, Howard and Wayne Plummer, Frostburg, Alden Plummer, Cumberland, and nine grandchildren. The body is at the Durst Funeral Home where friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p. m. and tomorrow from 2 until 4 p. m. and 7 until 9 p. m. The Cumberland Evening Times, August 10, 1964
