- FROSTBURG — Mrs. Robert Brunton, 29, formerly of Carlos and later a resident of Baltimore, died Tuesday in Detroit while visiting her sister, Mrs. Emmett Sobo. In failng health for several years, she had been seriously ill for the past three months. Mrs. Brunton was a daughter of James and the late Rose (Skidmore) Layman, Carlos. In addition to her sister and father, she leaves her husband and a daughter, Patsy Ann Brunton, Baltimore; four other sisters, Mrs. Marshall Croston, Hoffman; Mrs. William Winebrenner, Shaft; Mrs. Elsie James, Detroit; and Mrs. William Ware, Midlothian; and three brothers, James, Matthew, and Willard Layman, all of Detroit. The. body arrived here yesterday morning and was taken to the Ware residence, Midlothian, where services will he held tomorrow at 2:30 p. m. by Rev. H. B. Kilchner, pastor of Midlothian Pentecostal Church. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery here. The Cumberland Evening Times, November 28, 1947
