- Funeral services were held at 2:30 today at the home for Leonard H. Thuss, son of the late August and Christina Thuss, who died Friday at his home, 824 N. Mechanic street, with the Rev. Dr. H. Hall Sharp, pastor of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, in charge. Mr. Thuss who operated a restaurant at 826 North Mechanic street, was widely known as a musician. He was a member of the Maryland Theatre orchestra for twelve years, also a member of the old Cumberland Municipal and American Legion bands. He had been engaged as a member of the orchestra for "Blossom Time" at the Maryland Theatre on Friday, the day of his death. "Len", as he was known by his friends, was a lover of sports and the outdoors, and assisted in many local sports events. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Martha L. Thuss; three sisters, Miss Rose Thuss, Mrs. Samuel Griminger and Mrs. Charles Chenowith; three brothers Charles and William Thuss, all of this city, and Raymond Thuss, of Detroit.
