- Services will be conducted here Tuesday for Jack 0. Crowe. 29, of Wheaton. Md., a former Cumberland resident, who died Friday night in Suburban Hospital, Washington, of head injuries he received when a tire he was repairing exploded and struck him in the face. The victim was an employe of a Silver Spring service station where the accident occurred. While in Cumberland he had been an employe of the Kelly-Springfield Tire Company and the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ellen M. Crowe; two sons, Douglas and Jack Crowe Jr., both at home; his mother, Mrs. Irene Crowe, this city, two brothers. Donald Crowe, city, and Lloyd Crowe. Silver Spring, and a sister, Mrs. Betty Crothers, Silver Spring. Services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Silcox Funeral Home, with the Rev. M. J. King, pastor of the First Church of God, officiating. Interment will be in Rest Lawn Memorial Park. Friends will be received at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Cumberland Sunday Times, July 3, 1960
