- CUMBERLAND - Charlotte Louise Crowe, 82, of Cumberland, died on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007, at the WMHS-Memorial Campus. Born Sept. 29, 1924, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Franklin Helbert and Helen Marie (Keifer) Helbert. Mrs. Crowe was also preceded in death by a brother, W. Donald Keifer. A homemaker, Mrs. Crowe was a former member of the Shrine of Saint Jude's Catholic Church in Rockville, and Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Cumberland. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Lloyd C. Crowe; her son, James G. Crowe, of Alexandria, Va.; her daughters, Mary F. Crotts and her husband, Dennis, of Silver Spring; and Lloydann Kauffman and her husband, Steven, of Thurmont; her brother, Francis "Frank" Crowe and his wife, Christina, of Edgewater, Fla.; as well as nine grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Shrine of Saint Jude, 12701 Veirs Mill Rd., Rockville, on Friday, Feb. 16, 2007, at 11:30 a.m. with Father Robert Walsh as celebrant.
