- FROSTBURG - William L. (Wib) Drew, 61, of Wrights Crossing, died Thursday at Frostburg Community Hospital, where he had been admitted earlier in the day. Born in Midlothian, he was a son of the late Alfred Drew and Anna (Artz) Drew. He was a retired Celanese employee, a member of the Lonaconing VFW, Post 5280; Lonaconing Republican Club; associate member of the Fraternal Order Of Police, Midland Sportsmans Club, and a veteran of World War II. He is survived by his widow, Mary Elmira (Walters) Drew; one daughter, Mrs. Beverly Anne Dunn, Frostburg; one step-daughter, Mrs. Jeannie Porter, Carlos; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Dodds, Cumberland, Mrs. Gertrude Loy, Cumberland, and Mrs. Nellie Allen, Shaft; two brothers, Alfred Drew, Grahamtown, and Ralph Drew, Midlothian; and four grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Jack Sallie officiating. Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park. Military rites will be accorded by Henry Hart Post 1411, VFW. Pallbearers will be Charles Walker, Ray Walker, Frederick Winebrenner, Gary Wilson, Jack Skidmore, and Ray Drew.
