- John R. Hoffman, 75, of Uniontown, Ohio, formerly of Berlin, died Feb. 26, 1978 in Akron City Hospital. Born March 3, 1902, in Berlin, he was the son of the late Charles and Anna Linda (Musser) Hoffman. He was preceded in death by one brother. He is survived by his wife, the former Margaret Baum; a daughter, Miss Mary at home; and two sisters: Mrs. L.L. (Eleanor) Smith of Akron, Ohio; and Mrs. Grace Nunnari of Somerset, and several nieces and nephews. He was a foreman with the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Akron until his retirement in 1967; a member of the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Foreman's Club. Services were held Wednesday at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home with the Rev. Boyd Dickey officiating. Interment, Berlin IOOF Cemetery. The Republic, March 2, 1978
He was buried in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Berlin, Somerset Co., Pennsylvania.
