- Frostburg - Roy DeVore, 74, of 214 Armstrong Avenue, died Sunday at Miners Hospital. Born at Grahamtown, he was a son of the late Johnson and Aurelia (Crowe) DeVore. Mr. DeVore was a veteran of World War I and was a retired maintenance employe of the Frostburg Post Office. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the JOUAM of Frostburg. Surviving are his widow, Gilberta (Griffith) Devore; a daughter, Miss Anna M. DeVore, at home; four brothers, Johnson, Victor and Dewey DeVore, all of Frostburg, and Leonard DeVore, Detroit, Mich.; and five sisters, Mrs. Ernest Plummer, Mrs. Emory Plummer, and Mrs. John Tomlinson, all of Frostburg; Mrs. James Taylor, Palm Bay, Fla., and Mrs. John Wolfe, Chambersburg, Pa. The body is at the Durst Funeral Home where friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home by Rev. Kenneth E. Morelock. Burial will be in Frostburg Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Roy and Harry DeVore, Vernon Poole, George Buckalew, Howard Plummer and John Tomlinson. The Cumberland News, January 18, 1965
