- Mrs. Leda Elmira Krausz, 85, of 407 Franklin Street, died Sunday at Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient seven days. She had also been a resident of Cumberland Nursing Home for seven days. Born in Garrett County, she was the daughter of the late Walter I. and Minnie V. (Robeson) Crowe. Her husband, Henry L. Krausz, preceded her in death in 1972. Mrs. Kraysz (sic) was a member of Fairview Avenue United Methodist Church, Ladies Auxiliary of Fraternal Order of Eagles 245 of Cumberland, and Royal Neighbors of America. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Shirley E. Lashley, city; one brother, Wilmer Crowe, La Vale; three sisters, Mrs. Pearl Blazek, Austintown, Ohio; Mrs. Jessie Evans, Brookfield, Ohio, and Mrs. Datha Evans, LaVale, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Friends will be received at Silcox-Merritt Funeral Residence Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted Wednesday 1 p.m. at the funeral home by the Rev. Gladys E. Sloane. Interment will be in Hillcrest Burial Park. Pallbearers will be Ruben Friend, Thomas Hopwood, Owen Layman, Paul Rank, Carl Ryan, and Francis Twigg.
